These durable hiking sneakers for kids are made for rugged outdoor play and are comfortable to wear. They feature a premium Timberland® Leather upper and a lining made from ReBOTL™ material that contains at least 50% recycled plastic. The model also features a grippy rubber lug sole, a cushioned OrthoLite® footbed and a "Does it Fit?" footbed that guarantees a great fit and indicates when it's time for a new pair. ReBOTL material We developed this environmentally friendly material from non-biodegradable PET plastic bottles. The plastic bottles are recycled and processed into RPET yarns (recycled polyethylene terephthalate yarns). This material allows us to manufacture products from 50% recycled PET with the aim of almost completely reducing the environmental impact of various production processes. Certified Tannery One or more key components are made of at least 50% leather from a tannery that has received at least a Silver rating for environmental performance from an independent testing organization. The Leather Working Group (LWG) tests and rates tanneries based on energy use, waste generation and water treatment. Ortholite Insoles Comfortable ORTHOLITE® foam insoles wick moisture away from the foot, are antimicrobial and provide long-lasting cushioning.
