Nitrate reduction is 90% to 95% and breakthrough is not affected by sulfate levels. The capacity is 3000 ppm of nitrates as NO3. To determine capacity, first calculate the ppm (mg/L) of nitrates, then divide 3000 by that number to get the gallons. This cartridge can be regenerated using sodium chloride brine. It also contains 2-one micron filter pads, KDF 55, KDF 85 and coconut shell GAC.
