Based on the popular BL comic by Sagan Sagan, the Japanese series Old Fashion Cupcake is a sweet romantic drama about finding love while enjoying some good old-fashioned desserts. Nozue (Takeda Kouhei), who is about to turn 40, is living a stagnant life with no desire for career advancement or marriage. Every day is just a depressing cycle of wake up and go to work. Nozue's younger colleague Togawa (Kimura Tatsunari) is secretly in love with him. By chance, the two start going to dessert places that are mostly frequented by female customers. They find sweet comfort in the desserts and each other's company.
