Titled No. 1 For You, the first season of WBL is a lighthearted yet poignant college romance about unrequited crushes and the start of love. Since a young age, Zhou Shu Yi (Yang Yu Teng) has constantly been relegated to second place because of one person Gao Shi De (Sam Lin). To the proud and competitive Shu Yi, Gao Shi De is basically the bane of his existence! Shu Yi plans to confess his feelings to longtime friend Jiang Yu Xin (Belle Hsin) after winning a swimming competition, but then Shi De suddenly shows up and Shu Yi finds himself on the losing side yet again. Shu Yi is heartbroken when he learns that Yu Xin is dating their friend Fang Zheng Wen (Zack Fanchiang), but keeps it a secret.
