Pro Chlor Pel is an EPA approved, blended pellet well maintenance product designed to disinfect and destroy certain disease-causing organisms found in water. It is formulated for well maintenance to use in new wells, wells that have had service work, cisterns, storage tanks and water lines. Chlor Pel is compatible with most brands of dry pellet chlorinators and will prevent or treat iron algea, harmful bacteria, disease-causing pathogens, hydrogen sulfide and other odor-causing agents.Well Maintenance Applications:Dry Pellet Chlorinators: Shock treat the well to a chlorine residual level of 5 ppm by dropping pellets directly into the well. Adjust chlorinator pellet feed rate to retain a chlorine residual of .6 to 3 ppm. Test with kit provided with your chlorinator or purchased from dealer to determine chlorine residual.Temporary Well and Water Main Sanitation: A 200 ppm chlorine residual is recommended to destroy disease causing organisms that may be present in water.
